I have thrown
the dirt of exasperation
over my shoulder
into a pile that has grown.
I am the only miner in creation
in this cave of gems and boulders.
My light can only show
so much at one time
in its limited amount of seconds
before the bulb burns its last glow.
So let me be, let me mine,
let me find my diamonds.
